OUR TREATMENTS

Thanks to the advances in the dental field over the years, the population is now keeping their own teeth longer and we are here to ensure that you have a smile you are proud of that can last you for as long as possible without doing irreversible damage to you teeth. We welcome you to have a look at the treatment options we offer and if you like what you see then do book your appointment with us on the link above.

dental filling

A common reason for needing a filling is tooth decay or a small fracture of your tooth.

At Vermillion dental clinic we treat your cavities using a minimally invasive approach by trying to preserve as much dental tissue as possible. Once the decay has been removed, the cavity will be filled using high-end composites. To avoid new cavities to form, it is important to become aware and to understand its origin. We can provide you with all the information needed to make those new, good habits a part of your daily life.

If dental bacteria, also known as plaque, is not removed properly on a daily basis it will subsequently cause a gum inflammation called gingivitis.

If the gingivitis progresses it can slowly lead to periodontitis, which means an irreversible bone loss around the tooth. Without treatment, periodontitis may cause tooth mobility or even tooth loss.

Based on your specific needs we provide you with the treatment to stop the progression of the disease and we have all the information you need to adopt a good oral hygiene.

endodontics

Cavities and different types of traumas to can cause an inflammation in your tooth. In many cases when an inflammation occurs, a root canal treatment will be necessary. The treatment is often complex, which is why we choose top quality instruments and sterile, single-use files in order to get the best, possible result.

We also place an isolation around your tooth to avoid any contamination of bacteria during the treatment.

A root canal treated tooth is more fragile than a vital tooth and often requires a prosthetic treatment to avoid future complications.

DENTAL crown

When the tissue loss is significant a dental crown could be a good treatment option. A crown is surrounding the entire tooth and helps to restore the esthetics as well as protecting a weakened tooth.
A fracture, a large cavity or following a root canal treatment are a few scenarios where a dental crown could be the treatment of choice.

Our French lab-technicians work with ceramic materials to manufacture a crown that is both sustainable and esthetic. We use an optical impression to transmit the information from your mouth to the lab, a modern technique that is more comfortable for you and gives a great adaptation of the ceramic to you tooth.

INLY

inlay/onlay

The inlay/onlay is the treatment of choice when we manage to preserve a large part of the tooths outer layer, which has a higher bond-strength. Unlike the dental crown, the inlay/onlay only partially covers the tooth and therefore remains a less mutilating solution. Like the crown, the inlay/onlay is made by a lab technician from an impression taken in the mouth. We use a digital impression that is sent to our local lab where the ceramic onlay is designed and fabricated. The ceramic onlay has good precision, durability and a very strong adhesion to the enamel.

tooth whitening

We come across a lot of tooth stainers in our daily life for instance coffe, tea and red wine. Teeth whitening is very effective and can completely change the appearance of your smile.
We want to offer a easy-to-use, reliable system with consistent results and that's why we work with the White Dental Beauty system. To optimize the treatment outcome, we recommend to combine the regular whitening with a chairside session. During this session the whitening gel applied to the teeth is boosted with a blue lamp, which gives you a long lasting result.

BONDING

Composite bonding is an aesthetic procedure in which a resin composite material, matched to the color of the patient's teeth, is applied and cured on their surface. This technique is used to correct imperfections such as chips, cracks, discolorations, close gaps between teeth, and even change the shape of the teeth. By shaping and polishing the material after curing, the dentist can adjust the shape of the teeth to achieve a natural and harmonious appearance. Composite bonding thus offers a versatile solution to enhance both the aesthetics and function of the teeth, providing a often more affordable alternative to ceramic veneers. This procedure is typically performed approximately two weeks after the completion of teeth whitening, ensuring that the color of the composite material perfectly matches the final shade of the teeth after the whitening process.

Occlusal rehabilitation

Occlusal rehabilitation is a process aimed at restoring the balance and functionality of dental occlusion. It is essential for correcting issues such as malocclusions, excessive wear of teeth, or temporomandibular joint pain. This approach relies on a thorough evaluation of occlusion, muscles, and jaw joints.

Occlusal rehabilitation can involve various treatments, such as crowns, veneers, or orthodontic devices. The goal is to restore the proper relationship between the upper and lower teeth, thus promoting effective chewing and preventing long-term problems. By reestablishing a harmonious occlusion, patients can benefit from improved comfort, enhanced aesthetics, and increased durability of their dental restorations. It is a crucial step in ensuring overall oral health and the well-being of patients.

INVISALIGN

Invisalign is a modern orthodontic treatment that utilizes custom-made, transparent aligners to gradually correct the position of teeth. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible and can be easily removed for eating, brushing, and flossing. The treatment begins with a digital impression, which is used to create a series of aligners. Each set of aligners is worn for one to two weeks, allowing for a gradual movement of the teeth into the desired position. The aligners are made of a smooth, comfortable, and transparent plastic material, providing a discreet and comfortable alternative to metal braces. However, to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment, it is essential to wear Invisalign aligners for at least 22 hours per day. Throughout the treatment, patients regularly visit their dentist to receive new sets of aligners and monitor progress. Invisalign is often preferred for its aesthetic appeal, convenience, and the ability to achieve a straighter smile without the visibility of traditional braces.

DENTAL IMPLANT

Dental implants are an advanced and durable solution for replacing missing teeth. This involves a surgical procedure in which titanium posts are inserted into the jawbone to serve as artificial roots. These implants provide a strong and stable foundation for dental prosthetics, such as crowns, bridges, or complete dentures. The first step of the process involves placing the implants into the jawbone, followed by a healing period during which the bone fuses with the implants, creating a solid foundation. Custom-made prosthetics are then attached to the implants, offering an aesthetic and functional solution that looks and functions like natural teeth. Dental implants have the advantage of preserving bone structure, improving jaw stability, and providing a long-term solution to restore both the smile and chewing function. Although the procedure requires careful planning and a healing period, it offers lasting benefits and an improved quality of life for individuals with missing teeth.
